From housing instability to reliable income.

Pathway to Pay helps people in shelters, foster care, and unstable housing access recurring paid work. We provide job placement, digital access, training, and ongoing support so participants can move from unpredictable gig work to steady weekly income.

We don’t just help people find a job — we help them keep one.

Our mission

Pathway to Pay exists to move people from housing instability into reliable, recurring paid work. We work with individuals in shelters, foster care, and unstable housing and provide them with direct access to paid work, digital tools, training, and ongoing support so they can build long-term economic stability.

How we help

We partner with modern job platforms and route-based service networks to provide guaranteed shifts instead of one-off gigs. Pathway to Pay connects people in shelters, foster care, and unstable housing to real, recurring paid work.

Participants receive the tools, training, and support they need to show up consistently, earn reliable income, and build long-term financial stability.

Job placement & training

We connect participants to guaranteed work routes and provide onboarding and job-readiness support so they can start earning quickly and stay employed.

Transportation support

We remove transportation barriers by helping participants get to and from work so missed shifts don’t prevent them from earning income.

Ongoing coaching

Our case managers and coaches encourage participants to stay on track, resolve issues, and remain successfully placed in ongoing work.

Economic mobility

We focus on income stability, hours worked, and job retention so participants can move from survival to long-term financial independence.

Impact and results

Pathway to Pay is launching its first workforce cohorts in New York City. Our program is designed to measure success through job placement, hours worked, income stability, and participant retention.

We are building the data systems and partnerships needed to track real outcomes as participants move from unstable housing into reliable paid work.

How Pathway to Pay Changes Lives

Pathway to Pay is building a workforce pipeline for people in shelters, foster care, and unstable housing. Our program connects participants to recurring paid work, provides digital access and coaching, and supports long-term income stability.
