Our support services

We offer immediate access to paid work and wraparound support to ensure your success. Our comprehensive services address the challenges you face, providing a pathway to reliable income and housing stability.

Transportation

We remove transportation barriers by providing transit passes, gas cards, and ride support so participants can reliably show up to their shifts. This ensures they can accept work immediately and maintain consistent attendance — one of the most critical factors in job retention.

Tools & supplies

We cover the cost of essential work supplies such as cleaning kits, uniforms, tools, and safety equipment. For participants entering furniture assembly or cleaning, this eliminates the upfront costs that often prevent people from accepting work, allowing them to earn income from day one.

Coaching & support

Our team provides hands-on coaching, check-ins, and problem-solving support to help participants succeed on the job. We don’t just place people into work — we stay with them to help them keep their shifts, grow their hours, and move toward financial and housing stability.

Together, these services create a complete pathway from unemployment and housing instability to reliable, recurring income.

Real stories, real impact

From instability to stability

We provide immediate access to paid work paired with wraparound support that removes the barriers keeping people trapped in instability. Participants receive transportation, tools, work supplies, professional preparation, and one-on-one coaching so they can move from shelters and crisis housing into consistent weekly income and long-term financial stability.

A success story

James came to us from a men’s shelter after months of unstable gig work. He had experience in cleaning but couldn’t afford the tools, transportation, or upfront costs required to accept jobs.

Pathway to Pay provided cleaning supplies, transit support, and placed him into his first paid shifts within days. With coaching and weekly check-ins, James increased his hours, began earning consistent weekly income, and moved into more stable housing within weeks.

Today, James continues working on recurring routes and is building financial independence.

James’s story is one of many — we are currently supporting men, women, and survivors of domestic violence across multiple shelters and supportive housing programs.
